Rice Energy Automates Operations with HighOrbit
Starts by Reducing Time & Resources with Invoice Approval by 50%

As the economy continues to climb, many companies are encountering new challenges managing their growth and workflow processes. Maximizing the company's potential, Rice Energy, a growing oil and gas exploration and production company, reduced the time and workload needed to approve invoices by 50 percent through the implementation of HighOrbit's workflow automation system.

"The system is very flexible so it can be designed for any process' said Daniel Rice, Chief Financial Officer of Rice Energy. "Additionally, the support staff is great and always available to facilitate the design and construction of our processes."

As an oil & gas exploration company, Rice Energy relies heavily on subcontractors to perform its work, typically 70 independent contractors for each well resulting in more than 300 invoices. By leveraging HighOrbit, the company has significantly reduced the time and resources needed to review and approve invoices.

According to HighOrbit's Brian Dwyer, the company's business process management solution was developed to give companies the power to control their processes. "HighOrbit is committed to offering fast, easy and affordable solutions for business process management," Dwyer said. "This is especially applicable for growing companies like Rice that want to manage their growth with existing back-office resources."

As for additional opportunities using HighOrbit, Rice notes, "Because of back-office improvements resulting from HighOrbit, we're currently working with HighOrbit's team to design operations-oriented processes to further improve our team's project management functions."

Rice Energy is a private Exploration and Production company focused on acquiring and developing unconventional oil and natural gas resources in the United States.
