BPM Software Improves Efficiency and Communication during Application Evaluation
HighOrbit Corporation recently announced the signing of Capital Ambition of London as a new client. Capital Ambition has adopted the use of HighOrbit to help manage the increasing number of outside applications and inefficiencies that had overcome the group’s application monitoring system.
Capital Ambition are responsible for managing a network infrastructure, call the London Public Service Network (LPSN) to which all of the 32 London boroughs are connected. In order to be accepted for connection to this network, the boroughs have to submit a detailed Code of Connection application. Because the external specialists who review these applications frequently spend time on the road, the application approval process was taking a significant amount of time and resources.
According to Stephen Fellowes of Capital Ambition, “We were dealing with an evaluation process of applications submitted to us that required input and discussion from a number of sources outside our office. As the workload increased, it was becoming increasingly difficult to track the status of each applications and whether or not all of the questions has been answered.”
Due to a number of specific operating restrictions, Capital Ambition could not have any workflow automation software hosted in-house. After initial evaluation of multiple alternative workflow solutions, Capital Ambition implemented HighOrbit software because it was the most practical and economical solution for the group’s specific workflow needs.
Capital Ambition currently has six active users using the HighOrbit software, which are spread across three different organizations and work as a ‘virtual team’. Using the HighOrbit software, Capital Ambition now has an interconnected network of all parties involved with the application evaluation. Additionally, Capital Ambition intends to use HighOrbit’s email functionality to improve the expediency of their internal email processing. The improved efficiency and automation since implementing the workflow software from HighOrbit has allowed Capital Ambition to finalize network applications in significantly less time.
