How it Works

First, a process designer defines a process using three criteria:

• Process Participants - The people involved in the process and the roles they play in completing the process
• Process Data - The information and data associated with the process
• Process Workflow - The way data is moved from person to person and the business rules defining the steps of the process

This information is then entered into the HighOrbit Process Designer application. This application is a simple, graphical process design tool that requires no programming on the part of the process designer. Process actions and routing can be done simply by drawing connections between the process elements.

Once completed, the process becomes available to the entire company or enterprise. The HighOrbit Server takes care of the details such as generating web forms, security, the back end database, calculations, task assignments, and due date tracking.

Changes can easily be made to processes to fine tune their functionality.
